JUST FOR A MOMENT—JOANNA MARSHALL

James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

My life flies before me
As vapor and steam
So little of value
So empty it seems
Yet giving to Christ my all today
Seeking to walk His narrow way
His power upon me come what may
Just for a moment

Just for a moment
My life here on earth
Just for a moment
And what is it worth
There’s only one choice that I can make
To count all but loss for His namesake
It’s worth all the pain for eternal gain
Just for a moment

And when life is over
When life here is done
So short is the battle
And victory is won
It surely is worth the price we paid
Worth every sacrifice we made
Life here on earth will dim and fade
It was but a moment

Just for a moment
My life here on earth
Just for a moment
And what is it worth
There’s only one choice that I can make
To count all but loss for His namesake
It’s worth all the pain for eternal gain
Just for a moment
It’s worth all the pain for eternal gain
Just for a moment

2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
